Cheshmak Graveyard, Pol-e-Dokhtar This Graveyard is located in the narrow valley of Cheshmak in a vicinity known as Michaku, and is related to the Parthian era. The graves are in rows, in a north-south direction and at a distance of 4 to 5 m. from each other. Each grave is 4.5 to 5m. in length, and 1.5 m. in width. The tomb-stones lean towards each other in the shape of tip of an arrow. On the hillock designed earthenware has been found, but those discovered from the graves are related to the Parthians. This graveyard is in a state of turmoil due to the search for treasure there. Hareh Baq Graveyard, Khorram Abad This Graveyard is located on a hillock in the village of Hareh Baq (Khorram Abad). A few of the graves here have 'Kufic' engravings on them dating to the 5th and 6th centuries A.H. The tomb of Sheikh Mehdi, one of the reputed personalities of this area is in this cemetery. Other Historical Graveyards, Lurestan Other Graveyards are the followings: Razan Graveyard in the village of Razan, Mir Ahmad in Mir Ahmad-e-Razan Village, Kargoo in Kargoo village (Delfan), Tappeh Kie in Tappeh Kie Village (Alishtar) and the graveyard of Sultan Mashreq in Sarab Amir Village (Alishtar). |
