Darol Ehsan Mosque, Sanandaj The same is also the Jame' Mosque of Sanandaj, and was constructed by the late Amanollah Khan in the year 1227 A.H. Besides being well fortified, this mosque has a large nocturnal area. On an epigraph in this vicinity holy verses of Qoran have been inscribed. The mosque has two colossal porches. Around its courtyard are 12 chambers and 2 attics. In the center of the yard is a pool constructed of eight slabs of stone. Hajar Khatoon Mosque and Pilgrimage, Sanandaj Hajar Khtoon is the sibling of Imam Reza (P.B.U.H.). Its tomb is located in Taleqani Avenue (Sanandaj), near the Hajar Khatoon Mosque. This pilgrimage site has two courtyards, a relatively large mosque and a small sepulcher. Public mourning ceremonies are held on the site in special religious dates.
