Amir Lalpa Tomb, Kohkilouyeh At a distance of 35 km. to the south east of Kohkilouyeh, between two parallel mountain ranges, there is a cemetery called Deli Mehraban or Mehregan. Alongside the old and new cemetery there are a number of coins discovered related to the Elamit kings of Khuzestan. The above mentioned tomb is also located in this vicinity and is known as the tomb of Amir Lalpa, also called Jamaleddin Omar Lalpa, one of the commanders of Atabak families. This tomb is square in shape and constructed of regular sculptured stones. Shapour Tomb, Dehdasht This tomb is located in a place that is presently the forest park of Dehdasht city. This square shaped grave has been made of stone and gypsum and amongst local people it is known as the grave of Shapour Sassanid. The same is in keeping with Belad of Shapour. Due to its new structural construction, the tomb is said to be related to the Qajar era. |
