Naqareh Khanehs, Kohkilouyeh va Boyer Ahmad In the Province of Kohkilouyeh va Boyer Ahmad, remnants such as Naqareh Khaneh can still be observed. The said are relics from the pre-Islamic era in Iran. During that period, the drums would come to sound at sunrise, sunset, and whenever religious anthems were sung. These locations were especially on elevations, in special towers on mountains and hillocks. The Naqareh Khaneh of the tribes was also located on elevations surrounding their region of settlement, or defense towers which were also at an altitude, were used for the same purpose. With the sounding of horns or other instruments, the tribes could be informed of a special event, or the arrival of royalty. Some of these Naqareh Khanehs are as follows: The Meymand Naqareh Khaneh, Naqareh Khaneh Village Naqareh Khaneh, Rak Village (Doshman Ziari) Naqareh Khaneh which is related to rule of the powerful chieftain of the four tribes of Kohkilouyeh. |
