Kheir Abad Ancient Bridges (Soflaie Bridge), Gachsaran Within 9 km. of Kheir Abad and 50 km. of Gachsaran there are the relics of two ruined bridges with four arches. The lower bridge has a height of 6.60 meters, but is in a state of ruin; whereas, the effects of upper bridge of Kheir Abad is more outstanding than the other. The bridge was about 8m. wide, protected by a 1 m wall. The construction of this bridge is related to the early Islamic period and its latest renovation was performed in the Safavid era. Pataveh (Padena) Bridges, Boyer Ahmad This bridge is located within 15 km. of the Dena Mountains in upper Boyer Ahmad, and has very tall walls which overlook the river. Due to its climatic and geographical factors it forms one of the main roads of Tisfoon, Estakhr, Susa, Behbahan, Esfahan and was also a route for caravans. Based on this point, there are many bridges built in this region. Bridges and roads pertaining to the pre Islamic era have gone under repair in later periods. One of the remnants of a long bridge which has remained in a better condition is between the three bridges to the south of the Khersan Gorge. In the past, access to the Tal-e-Khosravi was gained through this bridge. Takht-e-Shah Neshin Bridge (Payeh Bridge), Yasooj This monument has pillars covered by stone and is related to the Achaemenian era. It lies on the Behbahan - Dehdasht - Pataveh Old Road. It is located at a distance of 1.5 km. of the Pataveh Village in Yasooj and 50 km. northwest of Sisakht to the city of Yasooj. |
