Ab Konari Cave, Dehdasht This cave is located in the Kheis Mountain of Dehdasht and has two large entrances. In the primary sector of the cave there is a spring with refreshing water which the inhabitants use for drinking purposes. All the branches inside the cave are blocked. This cave was discovered in 1987. Dofiri Cave, Yasooj This crevice is a natural cave with a structure related to the Safavid period. The same is located to the north of Bonzard Village and 50 km. away from north of Sisakht. The said besides being a tourist attraction also enjoys historical values. Gabar Cave, Kohkilouyeh This cave is located in the Sarkharab area and was discovered by a group of mountaineers of the province in 1989. It is assumed that this cave has been known as Kherefkhaneh in the Sassanid era. Kabootar Cave, Dehdasht This cave is neighboring the Tourab Village and is located 10 km. from Landeh, Dehdasht. Half of the internal mouth of this cave is in Maroon River. This cave has two large halls and is 150 meters deep with lots of branches. In order to pass from these halls and branches, one should be equipped with enough technical means and security equipments. This cave was discovered in 1988. Nool Cave, Sisakht (Boyer Ahmad) This cave is in Kooh-e-Gol, at a distance 20 km. from Sisakht. It is 80 meters in length. This cave has several walls in steps with various branches, which are very important from the geology and tourism point of view. The mouth of this cave is 3 meters in height. The ceiling and structure of this cave are made of calcareous stones with beautiful lantern shaped hangings. In the depth of this cave there are several springs with clean, cold water. Evidence for presence of man around the springs and subterranean canals in surroundings of this cave shows that it has been utilized not only in the past but also in recent years. It seems that this cave was used as a refuge in the past. Shah Bahram Cave, Gachsaran The said cave is located near the ruins of the ancient city of Shah Bahram, to the north of Gachsaran. This cave is 200 m. in length with one meter wide opening. Evidences here reveal that this cave has been used during the Parthian era. Other Caves, Kohkilouyeh va Boyer Ahmad Other caves of the province are as follows: The Pirezan Cave and Fee Cave in Dehdasht, Kohkilouyeh, Mess Cave in Khongah Ab Siyah, Boyer Ahmad, Meymeh Cave on the borders of Kohkilouyeh va Boyer Ahmad and Khuzestan Province s. Nazl Cave in Nour, Dehdasht, Shah Cave or crevice in Basht. Kak Koohzad crevice located within 2 km. of the Torab Village, Havai crevice which is at a distance of 1 km. northeast of upper Torab, the historical Caves of Dena Qamin and Khofash in Tang-e-Tekab. |
