Chal Kalaq Mountain, Yasooj (Boyer Ahmad) The Chal Kalaq Mountain is located 14 km. northeast of Yasooj. The height of this mountain is 3,531 meters and the rivers Marber, Mehrian, and Job Khaleh gain their sources here. This mountain is at the southeast of Dinar Mountain. Dena (Dinar) Mountain, Boyer Ahmad The Dena or Dinar mountainous region is in the townships of Brujen, Semirom and Boyer Ahmad, covering an area of 2,200 square kilometers and comprises of various mountains. The tallest of them is the well-known Dena (Dinar) summit which has a height of 4,409 meters and is at a distance of 35 km. northwest of Yasooj. The Marber, Raigan, Tal-e-Gordal and Roudeqar Rivers are in the northern slopes of this region. Water bearing rivers by the names of Benrou, Kahgol, Seris and Mehrian Rivers are at the southern slopes; whereas Khaleh, Kashour, Tizab and Dezkord Rivers flow through the southern and southwestern slopes of this mountain. The northern slopes are limited to the valley of Marber River, the western slopes to the Khersan River and eastern slopes are limited to the Mehrian River. The average annual temperature of this mountainous region is between 5° to 15° C and its beautiful and vast summits are covered by snow, almost all round the year. The most important summits in this vicinity are more than 4,000 meters in height and are the following: Houzdal, Sicherni, Benrohash, Qalam, Pol-e-Sefid, Khersan, etc. Haami Mountain, Dogonbadan (Gachsaran) The Haami Mountain is 18 km. northeast of Dogonbadan and to the west of the Kazangan Village. It is 3,172 meters in height. The Shah Bahram, Robashti, Abraigon Rivers take their source in this mountain. It elongates from Kheir Abad River valley located in the village of Nazmakan and runs towards southeast and continues up to the Poshte Kooh area. This mountain extends for 54 km. that is from the northwest to the southeast. Noor Mountain, Dehdasht (Kohkilouyeh) This mountain is located within 30 km. northeast of Dehdasht and to the east of the Abmahi Village of the Kohkilouyeh township. It is 3,415 m. high. The Maroon and Loadab Rivers take their source from this mountain. This mountain extends from Maroon River valley located in the east of Andaroon Village and is limited to the southeastern sector, stretching out for 43 km. The slopes of this mountain are covered by oak trees. Rah Barik Mountain, Yasooj (Boyer Ahmad) Mount Rah Barik is one of the mountains of the Zagros Ranges. It is located at the northwest of Yasooj and to the north of the Kandal Village. This mountain with an approximate height of 3,095 m., offers a wonderful landscape. Sefid Mountain, Yasooj (Boyer Ahmad) The Sefid Mountain is located in the north west of Yasooj and south west of Sisakht. This mountain is 3,102 m. in height and runs in a parallel direction to the Savrouz Mountain which has a height of 3,189 m. These two majestic elevations are counted as the very important heights of the central mountains of the Zagross Mountain Ranges. Other Altitudes and Summits, Kohkilouyeh va Boyer Ahmad Other Altitudes and Summits of the province are as follows: Siyah Kooh 2,929 meters high in Boyer Ahmad; Maimand Kooh (3,138 meters), Sefid Kooh (2,941 meters), Siyah Kooh Landeh 3,124 meters high, Kooh Lashgar 3,005 meters high, and Kooh Kalab Anjir 2,977 meters high. |
